DELIVERING DUKE OF EDINBURGH'S AWARD EXPEDITIONS TO SCHOOLS AND YOUTH ORGANISATIONS.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme has changed the lives of thousands of young people across the UK, its combination of personal development, challenge and achievement making it a unique experience. The importance of the scheme is undeniable, but the ever-increasing demands for Health and Safety and risk assessment make it difficult for schools and youth organisations to offer it with confidence.
Sam Sykes™ Ltd was set up to reverse this trend by delivering professionally led Duke of Edinburgh award expeditions across the UK and overseas. With over thirty years' experience in organising and leading DofE Award expeditions at BRONZE, SILVER and GOLD level, the Sam Sykes™ team understands the importance of safety in all areas of expeditions. The combination of practical experience, legislative knowledge and a thirst for adventure allows the Sam Sykes™ team to deliver bespoke DofE expeditions that will challenge participants without ever compromising their safety. Sam Sykes™ has run expeditions across the UK, including the Lake District, Peak District and North Wales, as well as across Europe and the rest of the world.
The benefits of using Sam Sykes'™ professional expedition service are clear. Young people taking part in the scheme enjoy a challenging and affirming experience delivered by dedicated and qualified leaders. Schools and youth organisations, meanwhile, gain peace of mind from knowing that their expedition groups are in safe hands and that the Sam Sykes™ team has a wealth of experience with the DofE scheme.

"IT HAS BEEN A REAL PLEASURE TO WORK WITH SAM SYKES AND HIS INSTRUCTORS... AS THE TEACHER IN CHARGE OF THE AWARD AT SCHOOL IT IS REASSURING TO KNOW THAT THE STUDENTS HAVE BEEN TAUGHT SO WELL ON THEIR PRACTICE EXPEDITION... THE ORGANISATION AND PAPER TRAIL HAS BEEN MADE AS EASY TO FOLLOW AS POSSIBLE AND THIS HAS HELPED WITH THE ORGANISATION OF A LARGE NUMBER OF STUDENTS WISHING TO UNDERTAKE THE AWARD AT VARIOUS LEVELS.
